A big thank you to Graham from Caravan Finder for visiting Brook Miller Mobility at the Dusseldorf Motor home and Caravan show. Brook Miller are at the Caravan Salon until Sunday 8th September.
Graham set up Caravan Finder Ltd nearly 20 years ago. It now features the largest selection of UK Motor homes and Caravans on the Internet. Graham also has a weekly TV program which is aired on Monday nights at 7.30pm on Caravan Finder TV. This can also be viewed on Sky channel 192 and Freesat channel 161.
Filming in the Liberation with Caravan Finder
It was for Caravan Finder TV that Graham and our managing director Adrian filmed today in the Liberation Van Conversion Motor Home and our new demonstration Coach Built Motor Home. These will be available for demonstrations immediately after we return to the UK from Germany. We are very excited to be able to show you these vehicles as we believe they are the best ones yet!
This is the first time we have exhibited the Liberation range in Europe. The response so far has been amazing. It is great that visitors really appreciate what is so special about the Liberation range.
As you may know, Brook Miller Mobility have been building wheelchair accessible vehicles for 2 decades, with our range of WAV’s from small Fiat Qubo’s with lowered floors and ramps, ranging up to large Renault Master’s with rear access lifts which can accommodate several wheelchairs and lots of layout options, plus the Volkswagen Shuttle with the option of the wheelchair user being the driver of the vehicle. We can fit a huge range of driving adaptations to these vehicles to make anything possible.
Understanding the responsibility of a large purchase
It’s from speaking to our customers and understanding their exact requirements that we have applied this knowledge to the design and build of our leisure vehicles. We know a motor home or caravan is a large purchase. We, therefore, take seriously the responsibility of getting the vehicle and layout exactly right. Meeting the needs of the user and the family.
We know making a motor home or caravan wheelchair accessible is not just a case of getting a normal vehicle and putting a lift on it. Every aspect of the design must be considered to ensure the dimensions are correct for a wheelchair. Furthermore that you have the right amount of space for manoeuvring the chair.
The typical design of a compact motor home bathroom has been completely rethought. They now incorporate wide access wet room doors, space around the toilet for grab rails or a shower chair if proffered.
Hoists can be installed to enable ease of movement around the vehicle for the wheelchair user when they are not in their chair. With the assistance of their career a hoist can easily transfer the user between bedroom, bathroom and living space.
Fantastic reception in Dusseldorf
We are so pleased by the warm reception the visitors of the Dusseldorf show have given to our motor homes. We’re also looking forward to showing the range of possibilities to many more visitors in the coming week.
The Dusseldorf show is the largest of its kind in the world. As you can see from the queuing crowd it’s going to be a very busy week for us!
