Liberation CB650 2020 Fiat Ducato Wheelchair Accessible Motor Home

Vehicle Information

Vehicle Description

Please note this vehicle is sold. The images and below specification are as a guide only. As part of Brook Miller Mobility’s bespoke approach to wheelchair accessible vehicles, we can custom design and build a motorhome to your exact requirements.

Vehicle layout

The layout of this vehicle is based on our most popular design, which really utilises the space available within the Coachbuilt space, in the CB650 model which is 6.7m in length.

It is built on the Fiat Ducato Chassis, with the new 9 speed automatic gearbox providing an extremely comfortable drive. Fiat vehicle options included as standard include Fiat Captain Swivel Seats, 16” Alloy Wheels, Leather steering wheel and Gear knob, Cruise control, LED running lights, a high performance 180 AMP Alternator, automatic climate control, and the Comfort-Matic Gearbox.

Wheelchair accessibility is provided via an Autolift F900 underfloor hydraulic wheelchair lift, which is easy to operate with a 4-button wired remote control which neatly stows away underneath the vehicle when not in use. The maximum safe load of the lift is 300kg and can accommodate chairs and scooters measuring up to 800mm x 1200mm.  An additional electric step is fitted for when the lift is not required.

This motorhome is 5 berth. It has a fixed rear double bed with underbed storage, also accessible through an external locker, it then has a second double bed which converts from the dinette seat, plus an additional single drop-down electric bed.

An accessible open plan wet room is provided, plus ample kitchen facilities including a 90l fridge, microwave and sink and twin gas hob, both of which have glass covers to maximise the work top area when not in use.

Two further travel seats are provided via the dinette seat belt points, which allows 4 passengers, with an additional wheelchair position if wheelchair tie downs are fitted, as they have been in this motorhome, to allow for a wheelchair user to travel in their chair, behind the drivers and passenger seats.

Customer Modifications

We then made some further modifications to the design, including adding an external plug and BBQ point, to maximise the enjoyment of warm summer evenings under the Fiamma Awning.

Another addition to the motorhome was a powerful inverter, fitted underneath the rear bed, which allows items to be run whilst off grid using the motorhome leisure battery.

The motorhome was also fitted with a roof mounted solar panel to extend the period between the motorhome being connected to mains hook up, as the solar panel helps keep the leisure battery topped up. The inverter is fitted with a warning alarm, to protect and extend the life of the leisure battery by preventing it running too low.

Without an inverter the plug sockets within a Liberation can only be used when connected to mains hook up, due to the power required, so an inverter is an important addition if you plan to use your motorhome off grid.

Our Liberation motorhomes are fitted as standard with a range of LED lighting throughout which reduces the power used, including touch dimmable ceiling lights.

A hoist rail was installed during build to help future proof the motorhome as a hoist rail cannot be retrofitted to a Liberation Motorhome, as we specially reinforce the roof during build to allow for the weight support required when fitting a person ceiling hoist. A space between the overhead cupboards has been left for stowing the ceiling hoist equipment when charging.

The final addition to the vehicle prior to handover was fitting a Phantom Tracking and Alarm system, which has many benefits for your peace of mind and security and may also reduce your motorhome insurance premium.
