Liberation CB737 2020 Fiat Ducato 6 Berth Wheelchair Accessible Motor Home

Vehicle layout

This Liberation CB737 is a custom-built motorhome built to a bespoke design. The CB737 is the largest Coachbuilt Motorhome in the Liberation range, measuring 7.5m.

Wheelchair accessibility is provided via an Autolift F900 underfloor hydraulic wheelchair lift, which is easy to operate with a 4-button wired remote control which neatly stows away underneath the vehicle when not in use. The maximum safe load of the lift is 300kg and can accommodate chairs and scooters measuring up to 800mm x 1200mm.  An additional electric step is fitted for when the lift is not required.

There are 4 travel seats, the drivers and passenger seats are Fiat Swivel Captain Seats to allow them to face into the motorhome when parked, which also assists the driver of the motorhome to transfer from their wheelchair into the drivers seat. Two further seat belt positions are fitted within the dinette seating.

The motorhome is fitted with hand controls and a steering ball adaption.

Within the extra length gained from the upgrade to the CB737 we were able to provide an extra wide bathroom with additional space on either side of the toilet to enable the use of a shower chair in the bathroom. It also has a larger than average shower room area, which is enclosed by sliding wet room screens. The wet room flooring is nonslip with underfloor drainage and no obstructive thresholds to provide wheelchair accessibility.

The kitchen is also larger with additional storage space and the microwave mounted below worktop level to assist with accessibility and independent living. The kitchen is well equipment with a sink and twin gas hob which both have glass tops to increase the worktop surface when not in use. The motorhome is also fitted with a 3 way Dometic Fridge running off battery whilst driving, mains power when connected to a hook up or gas for off grid use.

This motorhome design is 6 berth, with 3 spacious double beds. The dinette area creates a double bed, there is an additional double drop-down double bed and then there is a rear fixed double bed with underbed storage which can also be accessed through an external locker. A space was left at the back of the motorhome near the bed to assist with transfer from the chair into the bed and for wheelchair storage when not in use. Additional plug sockets were also fitted in this storage area for charging the chair when connected to mains hook up.

Two TV points were fitted with adjustable extendable TV mounting brackets in the front and rear of the motorhome.

Self-levelling legs were an optional extra included within the customer order, which provide convenient and easy levelling of the motorhome operated from a touch screen controller to the right of the habitation door entrance.

A habitation air conditioning system was also included in addition to the vehicle air conditioning.

Externally the motorhome is fitted with a Fiamma awning.
