Vehicle Description

Please note this vehicle is sold. The images and below specification are as a guide only. As part of Brook Miller Mobility’s bespoke approach to wheelchair accessible vehicles, we can custom design and build a motorhome to your exact requirements.

Vehicle layout

This Liberation CB650 is a custom-built motorhome built to a bespoke design. The CB650 is our midsized Coachbuilt Motorhome in the Liberation range, measuring 6.7m – our most popular size.

Wheelchair accessibility is provided via an Autolift F900 underfloor hydraulic wheelchair lift, which is easy to operate with a 4-button wired remote control which neatly stows away underneath the vehicle when not in use. The maximum safe load of the lift is 300kg and can accommodate chairs and scooters measuring up to 800mm x 1200mm.  An additional electric step is fitted for when the lift is not required.

The bespoke layout was created for a family of three; parents whose child is the wheelchair user. We worked with them to design a layout which would meet the wheelchair user’s needs, whilst providing them with plenty of space the relax and enjoy holidays away. After they decided to order a Liberation motorhome we worked on several designs, discussing various layout options before decided upon this layout.

One of the biggest requirements for the build was a bed for their son which they could access from both sides, which is extremely difficult within the space restrictions of a motorhome. However, by omitting all furniture from behind the drivers and passengers’ seats and extending the range on the electric drop-down bed we were able to provide this solution.  For the person on the cab side of the bed they can exist the motorhome through the passenger door and re-enter through the habitation door once their son is in bed.

This then leaves them with a spacious lounge dinette at the rear of the motorhome which converts into a double bed, with the water tank and electrics under one bench, and a storage space under the second, with externally accessible locker.

We have fitted wheelchair tie downs underneath the front bed area, for travel and the motorhome has a hoist rail fitted throughout the full length of the motorhome, the Liberation roofs are specially reinforced during build to allow them to safely support the use of a Prism Transactive Xtra person hoist.

Our Liberation motorhomes have accessible wet room bathrooms which are enclosed by sliding wet room screens. The wet room flooring is nonslip with underfloor drainage and no obstructive thresholds to provide wheelchair accessibility.

The Kitchen area within this Liberation motorhome has a sink and twin gas hob which both have glass tops to increase the worktop surface when not in use. The motorhome is also fitted with a 3-way Dometic Fridge running off battery whilst driving, mains power when connected to a hook up or gas for off grid use. The customers also choose the have a microwave fitted for their convenience in the kitchen.

The heating system installed is a Webasto system, which runs off the diesel engine supply, this allows you to carry a smaller gas bottle in the locker, as the gas is only then used for cooking and the fridge if running in gas mode.

Other Liberation motorhome options selected include an inverter fitting alongside the electric drop-down bed for use with a feeding machine. If an inverter is not fitted the plug sockets fitted throughout the motorhome will only work when connected to mains hook up, so an inverter allows you to power any essential equipment using the motorhomes leisure battery.

TV preinstallation, aerial, TV bracket and an Avtex TV were all also requested for this Liberation Motorhome.

Externally the motorhome is fitted with a Fiamma awning plus a rear mounted Fiamma Carry Bike Rack.

For safety and peace of mind the customers also requested a Phantom Tracking system, which was fitted onsite by a Phantom engineer prior to handover.

And as always, our Liberation motorhomes are fitted with fire alarms, co2 alarm, fire blanket and fire extinguisher, and are independently inspected for a range of safety features including gas safety.

LED lighting throughout the motorhome gives a warm and inviting finish to the motorhome, as well as being a great way to reduce power consumption when off grid.
